Product Description

Owing to our rich experience and proficient personnel, our company has emerged as one of the well known manufacturers, traders and exporters of Steel Shot which acts as an important abrasives for the majority of wheel blast applications. We have manufactured these abrasives as per the international & other industry recommended standards. Some of the features of Steel Shot are durability, resistance to impact fatigue and maximum cleaning efficiency. We are offering these abrasives at economical price in the market.

Made using molten steel through atomization (granulation) procedure, Steel Shots are grains spherical in shape. Obtainable in several dimensions and hardness, these cast steel shots are formed of steel scrap. The steel scrap is first heated in the electric furnaces and after this it is atomized into shot using water jet.

Manufacturing procedure of Cast Steel shots:

  • Melting (steel scrap + alloy)
  • Atomizing (through high pressure water jet)
  • Drying
  • Screening (dispersed the SAE shot dimensions from the huge shot particles utilized for grit production)
  • Spiraling (eliminate irregular shaped shot)
  • Quenching (form superior particle veracity with negligible stress cracks)
  • Tempering
  • Screening
  • Wrapping (25 KGS per one small pp bag)

Our offered Steel Shots are highly durable. These have less friability and because of this the impact blasting all the more tempers them, which enhances their firmness over time. This in turn lets the media to allocate reliable and repeatable presentation over several cycles. When manufactured these steel shots have rigidity of 40-50HRC (390-510 H.V). These have low breakdown rate and hence no dust is formed. As these distribute high-impact energy, these are taken into use in the industries needing heavy cleaning, making bright finishes.

While received these Cast Shots and grits are completely non-hazardous. When used normally these produce fine metallic dust on the break-down of abrasives. Meanwhile the ferrous composition is less than 95% dust or fumes will contain mostly of iron or iron oxide. Further, the fine steel dust formed can be a slight explosion hazard.
